Arthur Kelly's Writing With
Families,available from Maupin House Publishing, is a
how to guide to facilitating powerful and unique writing
groups with families at schools, churches, counseling centers or at
any other locations where families have access as community
members. Included in Writing With
Families are two complete sets of project lesson plans
for use by facilitators, as well as dozens of other suggestions for
themes, lessons, and activities.
Arthur writes from years of experience working on writing with
families in Las Vegas, where he founded the Family Writing
Project. The book's ideas and lessons are tried and tested,
and will give readers everything they need to know in order to lead
Family Scribe Groups, where family members write on topics they find
meaningful and relevant to their lives.
